Senior Leadership Team
Founding Headmaster - Mr Nick Page
Nick grew up in Suffolk, where he was educated at Ipswich School before going on to the University of Nottingham to read for a Combined Honours degree in French, Russian and Spanish. Having completed his PGCE at Queens’ College, Cambridge, Nick started his career teaching Modern Languages at Harrow School. He undertook a number of roles while at Harrow, including Head of Modern Languages, Senior Head of Subject, and Contingent Commander of the Combined Cadet Force, before joining the Senior Management Team as Academic and Universities Director. He went on to serve as Deputy Head (Co-Curriculum) and Director of Communications at Westminster School, before returning to Harrow School as Deputy Head Master. Most recently, Nick has led the establishment of Harrow International School New York, from where he joined Inspired in September 2024 to found Wetherby Pembridge. Nick has also been a senior examiner for GCSE Russian and a long-serving Governor in both the independent and maintained sectors. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
Deputy Head (Academic) - Mr James Mower
James joins us from Harrow International School New York, where he was Director of Studies and a founding member of the Senior Leadership Team. With extensive experience across leading international schools, he has shaped ambitious curricula and driven academic excellence. Holding two Master’s degrees and currently pursuing the National Professional Qualification for Headship, James is committed to fostering a values-driven, academically rigorous, and future-focused learning environment at Wetherby Pembridge.
Director of Pastoral Care & Head of Humanities - Mr Oliver Calmonson
Oliver joins Wetherby Pembridge from King’s College School The Bahamas, where he has served as a member of the school’s founding Senior Leadership Team. Following a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Birmingham and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manchester, Oliver began his teaching career through the Teach First programme, before completing his PGCE through UCL’s Institute of Education. Bringing over 15 years’ experience in teaching and leadership in both domestic and international contexts, Oliver is well placed to oversee the exceptional pastoral care that is a hallmark of a Wetherby Pembridge Education.

Head of English - Mrs Nicola Ford
Nicola joins us from Bancroft’s School in Essex and has extensive experience in independent and international education. Having studied English and German Literature at the University of Warwick, Nicola went on to complete a PGCE in English Methods and a Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Bristol. Her passion for literature encourages students to challenge conventions and embrace creative exploration.
Head of Mathematics - Mr Anthony Lee
With a degree in Mathematics from Royal Holloway and a PGCE from the University of Durham, Anthony is a dedicated secondary Mathematics educator with over 35 years of experience across the state and independent sectors. Most recently Head of Mathematics at Harrodian, Anthony brings to Wetherby Pembridge a passion for making Maths accessible and engaging for all students. He fosters a love for problem-solving and logical reasoning, equipping students with the skills to succeed in an ever-evolving world.
Head of Science - Dr Matthew Staniford
Matt studied Chemistry at the University of Sussex before completing a PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge. With 11 years of teaching experience at Brighton College and Roedean, he has led Science departments, mentored students, and coached sports. Passionate about hands-on learning, he inspires the next generation of scientists to explore and innovate.
Head of Music, Partnerships Lead and Teacher of Singing - Mr Christopher Head
A highly accomplished teacher of Music and Drama, Chris brings over six years of formal training from leading conservatoires, including the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Most recently teaching at Notting Hill and Ealing High School, he served as Teacher of Music and Drama, Head of Houses, and Junior to Senior Transition Coordinator. He has led ensembles, directed musical productions, and has overseen house and transition programmes, reflecting his commitment to Music education and student development. He holds multiple distinctions, including an MA (Distinction) in Voice and Opera, a PGCE (QTS) in Secondary Music Education, and an LRAM in teaching licentiate with a specialisation in the vocal pedagogy. Chris graduated from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama with BMus (Hons) Voice and Opera. He is currently enrolled in The Chartered College of Teaching (CTeach).
Head of Learning Support and Inclusion - Ms Michelle Copeland
Michelle is a highly experienced educator and inclusion specialist. She has led successful SEND departments in the UK and is passionate about creating inclusive environments where all students thrive. A qualified English teacher with a degree in English Literature and Theology from the University of Roehampton, she also holds a PGCE from UCL and a postgraduate NASENCO qualification.
Head of Languages and PSHE - Mr Barnaby Findlay
With a strong background in Modern Foreign Languages, pastoral education, curriculum development, and leadership, Barnaby is committed to fostering academic excellence alongside student wellbeing. Holding an MA (Hons) in French and Spanish from the University of Edinburgh, with additional study at the Universities of Toulouse and Salamanca, Barnaby has a proven track record of delivering outstanding results in both languages. His creative, culturally rich approach has consistently inspired student curiosity and achievement. He has previously served as Director of Learning and Head of PSHCRE at City of London Academy Highbury Grove, leading curriculum strategy, student welfare, and whole-school initiatives to promote safeguarding, inclusion, and personal development. He has also coordinated international trips and supported school-wide development through mentoring and CPD delivery. His leadership played a key role in driving measurable improvements in student attainment and engagement. Barnaby’s diverse experience across education, hospitality, and luxury travel ensures he brings a dynamic, globally minded perspective to his new role at Wetherby Pembridge.
Director of Performing Arts - Mrs Carla Graves
Having originally read for a degree in English at UCL and with a Master’s in Education and Leadership from Roehampton University, Carla has led drama departments for over 18 years, with experience at Dulwich College Shanghai, St. James School, and Emanuel School, where she won Independent School of the Year for Performing Arts (2022). She has directed award-winning productions, collaborated with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and developed international theatre festivals. Carla is excited to inspire Wetherby Pembridge students through innovative and immersive performances.
Director of Sport - Ms Evie Harrison
Evie brings extensive experience in sports leadership, coaching, and curriculum development, having led programmes at St Dunstan’s College and Lady Eleanor Holles School. A graduate of Durham University and former national-level rower and elite athlete, she is passionate about fostering confidence, skill development, and a lifelong love of Sport.
Teaching Staff & Administration
Teacher of Computer Science - Mr Kunal Patel
Kunal is an experienced Computer Science educator, most recently employed part-time at Royal Russell School in London, where he focused on A-Level teaching, ran a robotics club, and led staff CPD sessions on computer programming. Prior to this, he served as Head of Computer Science at St James’ Senior Girls School, London, with a focus on KS4 and KS5 education. His academic qualifications include a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from King’s College London (2011) and a BSc in Computing & Information Systems Design from Kingston University (2003).
Teacher of Art - Mr James Bartolacci
An experienced educator and artist, James has held several teaching positions across prestigious institutions in the US, including a recent role as Visiting Professor of Art at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, where he taught a foundation course in ‘Light, Colour, and Design’. Prior to that, he taught at the Yale University Art Gallery as a Wurtele Fellowship Museum Teacher and served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the Yale School of Art. James holds an Master’s of Fine Arts in Painting and Printmaking from Yale University and a BA in Art History from Brandeis University, graduating with highest honours and cum laude distinction.
Teacher of Latin - Miss Juliette Wise
A dedicated and dynamic Classics educator, Juliette joins us after teaching Latin and Classical Civilisation to students aged 9–13 at Cranleigh School, where she also served as Assistant Housemistress. She holds both a BA in Education with Classics and an MPhil in Education and Psychology from the University of Cambridge, along with a PGCE (QTS) in Latin with Classics from King’s College London. Outside of the classroom, Juliette is part of the England and GB Lacrosse team.
Teacher of Physics and School Administrator - Dr Robert Bird
Robert joins us from Durham University, where he studied a PhD in Physics with a focus on ultracold molecules and quantum science. Alongside his research, he supported undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, particularly in Mathematics and Scientific Programming, and tutored GCSE and A Level students in Chemistry, Physics, and Maths. Holding a First-Class MSci in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham, Robert brings a strong academic background and a passion for education.
Head of Admissions – Ms MICHAELA DOAN-TRAN
Michaela was previously the International Partnerships Manager at Inspired Online Schools, a role she held since April 2021. She managed global recruitment strategies, supported marketing initiatives, and drove international business growth. Michaela has also held senior admissions and marketing roles in a wide range of independent and international schools settings, in and outside of the UK, including the Australian International School (Vietnam), Halcyon London International School, Kensington Park School and Cognita Ltd. schools. She holds a BSc Honours Degree (2:1) in Psychology from the University of Surrey and a Post Graduate Masters’ Diploma in the Psychology of Education at the Institute of Education (University of London).
PA to Headmaster & SLT – Miss Hannah Tunstall
Hannah is an experienced Senior School Administrator with a Combined Honours degree in Social Sciences – International Relations & Politics, Sociology and Geography from Durham University, awarded in November 2023. Most recently, she worked as Secretary at The Mulberry House School, where she managed communications, supported the Senior Leadership Team, organised school events, and oversaw daily operations.
Librarian - Ms Kitty Shamburov
Kitty holds an MA in Comparative Literature (Distinction) and a BA in English from Birkbeck, University of London, completed between 2013 and 2019. Before joining Inspired, she worked as a Foreign Language Classroom Assistant for the British Council in Erfurt, Germany (2020–2021), supporting English language learning through interactive cultural activities. Previously, Kitty served as a German[1]speaking Archives Cataloguer at the University of East Anglia (2019–2020), where she organised archival materials and liaised with academic staff.
Premises Manager - Mr Antonio Torres
Antonio first joined the Inspired Education Group in July of 2023, where he supported Falcons School as Premises Manager. He will be working as our Premises Manager at Wetherby Pembridge.
Facilities Manager - Mr Yann Kerneis
With over 13 years of experience across the APG/Inspired estate, Yann is a highly experienced Health & Safety and Compliance professional. IOSH-qualified and currently based at Fulham, he leads on all aspects of H&S and compliance, ensuring readiness for inspections and regulatory audits. Yann also brings strong leadership in managing premises teams and maintaining safe, compliant environments.
