On 20 and 21 May, students from Years 7, 8 and 9 delighted audiences with a truly memorable summer school production of Alex. Blending creativity, humour and heartfelt storytelling, the performance captivated everyone in the audience.

Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Alex reimagined the classic tale for modern audiences. Familiar characters such as the White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat and Queen of Hearts were brought vividly to life, while a fresh and contemporary narrative added depth and relevance. The production followed one young person navigating the chaos of change, the pain of loss and the uncertain journey towards growing up.

The cast delivered a bold and energetic performance, combining moments of laughter with powerful emotional scenes. Their confidence, stage presence and commitment to their roles were evident throughout, reflecting the hard work and dedication that went into the production.

Behind the scenes, the creativity of the Performing Arts department shone through in every aspect - from imaginative staging and costume design to the seamless coordination of sound and lighting.

This production showcased the incredible talent within our school and provided students with a valuable opportunity to grow in confidence and creativity.

Congratulations to all the students involved, as well as the Performing Arts department, on delivering such a bold, funny and impactful production.
