Our Extensive Enrichment Programme

In the Middle School, we build on the strong, extensive foundation of the Lower School with a comprehensive co-curricular offering to ensure breadth and develop students’ skills in sports, music, drama and other areas.

As students progress, they may choose from a broader selection of exciting activities that allow them to explore new disciplines, discover new talents and interests, and develop existing abilities. Students must take at least one activity that includes wellbeing and one that promotes public speaking and presentation skills.

Students’ talents are showcased and rewarded through, among other things, inter-school sports fixtures, formal music and drama accreditation, and an annual programme of plays and concerts.

University Guidance: Tailored Preparation for a Life of Success

University preparation continues at middle school in the form of seminar and discussion-based learning, work experience, and one-to-one lunchtime and after-school clinics. There is also a greater focus on enrichment activities, including project-based, cross-curricular initiatives, competitions and Olympiads, which help build an academic profile that will support applications to top universities.

Structured university and careers guidance begins in Year 10 with tailored support and an introduction to various career topics. An excellent lecture series with internal and external speakers provides insights on various career options and prepares learners to successfully apply to the best universities and is enhanced by visits from university admissions counsellors, which all students are welcome to attend.
